Genus description from Zawierucha et al. 2023: “Dark pigmentation (not found in other representatives of
the subfamily Diphasconinae), wide bucco-pharyngeal apparatus consisting of short rigid part and elongated flexible tube, straight stylet supports, absence of placoids. Hypsibius -type furcae. Dorsal oval apodeme (thickening, drop-like structure) absent at the border between the buccal and pharyngeal tube. Very stumpy claws of Hypsibius type.”
